Default koverall and ultra violet light damage and silver dope

Polyester fabric detoriates quickly without some sort of UV protection. So says the (full scale) Poly Fibre covering manual
I am reading. It talks about the use of silver dope (dope with aluminum powder) to block UV light.

I plan to do some covering with Koveral and dope. Is UV protection and issue?

Obviously, models don't get continuous exposure to sunlight which lessens the problem, but I'm wondering about it nonetheless.

Does Sig, or other brands, of silver dope contain aluminum powder?

Thanks

I employed old fashion communication technology and called Sig.

They say, no problem - UV damage is not something to be concerned about with Koveral.

Any other opinions?

Based on the fact that our models spend very little time actually out in the sun, I doubt it's really a concern for us. Most full scale OTOH spend their entire lives out doors where they are subject to the sun nonstop every day of their existence. At least those days it isn't raining

Jim:

If you were a home builder you would know that composite aircraft ALL need the UV blocker, and aluminum paint is the blocker of choice. But. As also stated, with our model planes UV exposure is not a problem. One of mine is 20 years old, with Koverall, and still in excellent condition.
