Sig Aerobipe
I just purchased a SIG Aerobipe from a friend. A cute little biplane that has not been manufactured in 20 years. Does anyone know where the CG of this plane should be? I made some major modifications to the plane and don't want to crash it the first time out. I contacted SIG and they longer have any literature on this plane. Help.[X(]

Hi, I've got the plans for the Aerobipe, and a kit for the "Baron's Buggy" which is an earlier version.
The CG on the plans is about 7 1/2 inches aft of the front of the fuse side, which is also the rear edge of the spar on the bottom wing. Might seem a ways back, but remember the top wing is swept back.
I'd love to see a picture of your plane. What are you using for power? What mods? Mine's still in the box

RE: Sig Aerobipe
Thanks a million. I would never have located it that far back. Would have been a disastous first flight. I put a hot Norvel 0.15 in it. With 30% fuel it should just about tear the wings off at full throtle. Once the plane has all it's final touches I'll post a picture. Anyway I could get a copy of the plans for future repairs? I'll gladly pay for all copying charges and postage.
