Default CA model Funky 40

I am looking at a kit made be CA models of Argentina and was curious if any one has experience with this company or kit. Specifically the Funky 40. Here is their web site http://www.camodel.com.ar/Ingles/homeingles.htm

I AM CURRENTLY BUILDING THIS KIT. IT IS A NICE KIT TO BUILD, NEEDS A LITTLE WORK ON THE INSTRUCTIONS. I WILL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE WHAT THE TOTAL WEIGHT OF THIS PLANE WILL BE. I'M PUTTING A WEBRA SPEED 50 IN IT ALSO HITEK HS225MG SERVOS FOR ELEVATOR/RUDDER AND AIRLIONS. LOOKS LIKE IT SHOULD BE LIGHT. KIT QUALITY IS GOOD.

I must be seeing things, I see a light looking 3D plane.
They look nice, I was looking real close at there ad in RCM the other day. Seems kinda pricey. I remember thinking that you must get 2 planes for the price.JK

I am currently building this kit and the fit of the laser parts is exceptional. The instructions are a little behind the quality of most USA kits due to the translation. If you have built a few kits or better yet scratch built, you probably don't need instructions anyway. There were a few small pieces of wood that I replaced but it was not necessary. Since I had a stack of 4-6 pound wood available I decided to go ahead and substitute. The wood is metric but close enough for substitution if need be. All in all it was a pleasure building the kit and I would build other kits of the same mfg.

The airplane looks like it will fly well due to the large control surfaces and layout. I built a permanent balsa cowling instead of using the fiberglass one that came with the kit. The rest of the kit is stock.

I am amazed at the price and quality of the ARF models coming out. I saw an AD in Fly RC that had a Hangar 9 ARF similar to the Funky 40 for around $100 which is what the Funky 40 kit cost me at Toledo last year. I haven't bought an ARF yet but am getting closer all the time.

Get in touch with RUSS at www.ultimaterc.com he stocks these planes and has all of the prices. I paid 120.00 for funky 40 and that included the freight. it is building good and strong. nice kit.
