TF Cessna 182 Saito 1.50 what do you think?
Whats your thoughts on my 1/5th scale Cessna around 12 to 15lbs being pulled around with a Saito 1.50 and a Graupner 15/8 3 blade prop! What kinda of performance and flight characteristics am I looking to get?

The 1.50 is a bored out 1.20 so its the same size as a 1.20. It fit nicely in the cowl. What I'm looking for is the scale size prop the 3 blade option on the full scale. I'm not looking to burn the sky up with a Cessna so I will not be into the throttle!

Your power to weight should exceed 1:1 so it will be quite lively when doing aerobatics after you get bored just crusing around. Can you tilt the cylinder head to about the 8:00 position and still get it within the cowl? If so you will probably need to build some ducting to direct incoming airflow over the engine. I would go with the 1.50 and a Tru-Turn Ultimate spinner to make it a Cessna 182T.

I already have the engine mounted inverted here are a few pics of the Magnum 1.20 mounted which I replaced with the Saito 1.50. The opening for the radiator in the cowl will direct air over the Cylinder head, however I am debating on making two air scoops off of the other openings in the cowl to direct more air over the engine!

A couple of baffles to direct more flow over the head would be a decent idea. I'd also add some to the outlet area; you should have a minimum of about 2 times the outlet to inlet.
I would also say way overpowered, but I like the idea of the scale prop.
