Well guys we have the 4*'s topic, now I would like to see some Something Extra's. I am about to start mine here soon, so I would like to see yours and what kind of mods you have done, and what type of power it has.

RE: Show Your Sig SE's
I am finishing up the covering now, should have finished pictures in a week. Here is what I did :
Sullivan tail wheel bracket
Gold N Rods
Added 1" to front of Rudder, and to top for counterbalance
OS .46 FX with 11x4 ACP prop, Tower muffler
Cut back inside corners of elevator to allow more throw for the rudder
polished outside of alum landing gear, nice and chrome like
left wheel pants off to save weight for now
Epoxied firewall, landing gear plywood section, servo tray, a little extra re-enforcement here and there
Added a little strip of plywood across bottom under CG in case I later screw a bomb drop to it
Will advised how she flys too!

Here's a photo of mine a couple years ago when I was flying it electric powered. Later I took the Electric gear out to use in another plane so I dropped a K&B .61 in the SE.

TT 54 4c
Increased areas of all control surfaces and opened rudder area in elevators for more rudder travel. This is starting fourth flying season with the plane. I had thought the Sig Fazer was my favorite fun fly till I built this one.

Here's mine.......YS .45 rear exhaust mounted inverted, polished Tru-Turn spinner, polished the landing gear, too. A nice flyer, and faster in a straight line than I expected!

RE: Show Your Sig SE's
Some nice looking SE's. Marty I knew you would throw yours in hehe. Anyways I just started framing mine last night. Don't know if I want to do any mods to it or not. Can't wait till the end results of it. Marty I will be contacting you for some more lettering here in ohh about a month or so.
Still working out the details and stuff (covering, trim and lettering) on my Extra 300, but will send you and your better half some photos when all done.
Thanks guys,

My SE is still in the bones. I borrowed from Czechyour6's description because I did many of the same things.
Sullivan tail wheel bracket
Gold N Rods
Added 1" to front of Rudder
Thunder Tiger Pro .46 with 11x4 ACP prop, Tower muffler
Cut back inside corners of elevator to allow more throw for the rudder.
This weekend is covering time. The wife has selected the colors. White and Metalic purple with Neon green accents.
I'll post the finished product later. The Smith Mini plans are in the background. I'm trying to decide whether to build it or a Hog Bipe.

RE: Show Your Sig SE's
Hi,
Here's mine... pretty much stock with the exception of Sullivan Golden Rods, and Tailwheel. Running a Thunder Tiger .46pro and 11X6 prop.
It's a total blast to fly. Be sure to keep the Aileron Rates really LOW for that first flight guys. (About 1/2 of the recommend LOW rate is a good place to start.)

RE: Show Your Sig SE's
My gallery has pictures of my SE before her maiden flight this Saturday and the aftermath at the end of her short life. Burn a few candles for me gentlemen The throws were mild, she just got away from me when I was low and it went over my shoulder then inverted, gravity sucks!

Man sorry to hear about your loss. This is one of the reasons I am afraid to fly my 4*. But I know it is all in the hobby, build, cover, fly, crash and build them again is what I have been told.
Anyways, again I am sorry to hear about your loss. She was a nice looking bird.

The Barbie SE is too cool! I want one for my daughter! She'll love it! Here's a pic of mine. It was built in the fall of 1999 and is still going strong. The plane originally had an MDS 46, but last year I replaced with a GMS2000 47. I finally got fed up with the poor throttle response from the MDS.
Cheers!

Here is mine. Wonder who I was pulling for in the NCAA basketball tourney. Of course now it has an engine it is and such. Hasn't left the ground yet guess i've gotten to attached to it being my first kit and all.
