What is the recommended balance point from the L E ?

I measured my 4*40 plans and the CG is 3 inchs of the leading edge, so that would be a good starting point. Rod

So now I'm really curious. I pull my plans down. Just like RCLane says 3". Don't know how I mis-measured, but I did. Re-measure the wing same thing????

The CG marked on the plans is good for test flight and getting used tothe airplane. Best aerobtics will have the CG a bit further back... the 3 5/8 sounds about right for wher you end up eventually.
