So does Dave Patrick Models. Dave Patrick designed the Goldberg Ultimate. I think the one he imports is a little larger, but has the same weight as the Goldberg. I saw one at a model expo and was impressed, and I have a Goldberg (Kit built, not ARF)

I believe Dave Patrick is an ARF, I'm looking for a kit.

I have a Moki 1.20 that I would like to use or do you think that it would be too much?

I built this kit and will be using a Webra 120 for power. I have seen this airplane fly with a Super Tiger 90 and it had good power. The 120 will work fine.

There is a book out by Harry Higley. Its a how-too on building Bipes. He has several pages on the Goldberg Ultimate, with changes he recomends to add strenght.

I followed the book to the letter. If you do a search here on RCU there was a lot of talk about the changes made.

I would recomend the book if you are using the Moki 120.

I used the Goldberg Ultimate to build a bigger Ultimate, 62 inch wing span with a Moki 180 for power. Its a great flying plane.

I am finishing my Goldberg Ultimate .60 kit, and would like to pass on some of the construction notes I've made if you decide to go with the Goldberg. My notes are about some of the modifications I made as well as some change in the order of construction to facilitate building. It doesn't seem like the instruction manual has been edited for a looooong time. My buddy and I are both building one and there have been a number of things that just don't seem too well thought out. All in all, though, I am satisfied that it is a strong plane and will be able to bore some nice holes in the sky with the Magnum 1.20 fourstroke I've installed. Here's a pic of my design for the trim scheme. Take care,

Sarge:
I fly my ultimate from Goldberg at sea level with a OS 90 2-s FX & 15x5, 15x6 prozinger wood prop. I really like it; although vertical is limited and no 3D is flyable. I still enjoy it a lot, I have a magis and a PW extra for that.
The main secret about this kit is to keep it lite, my recomendations are YS 91 or 90 2-s
