BCB I did not do the Mustang. But I did do the Messerschmitt 109. The only thing I would say is pay attention to the nose construction. If you do it the way the instructions say on the 109 you cannot put the engine in! And they wanted you to put the washout in the wings by twisting the wing and shrinking the covering to keep it there. I would see to building it in. Maybee shimming the last 2 or 3 ribs up to get it before covering. Good luck with it.

Mark,

Thanks for the heads up, the wing halves were mostly done so the washout will have to be done by twisting the wing.

I don't have my OS 46 yet, so I let the front go till it shows up.

Brian.

[8D] I have the Mustang & flown the Me109. basicly were built off the same plan form with minor changes.also Big brother to this kit (60 size)not true scale but, THEY FLY GREAT. Big engine not needed. 109 swung alot on take off but in the air - fine.ch anged nose to side mt engine. neater looking that way.you got quite a bargain. HEY BCB you fly at Tuscarora?

ELTIGER,

Thanks for the reply, I fly at Beltzville State park. Our club the Beltzville Flying Machine Society lease a nice spot at the end of the lake, and there's a nice 25 acer field next to my house.

BCB I just noticed that you fly at Beltsville. I have never been there. I have stopped up at Tuscarora a bunch of times though. They are close to each other. I am from Shamokin. My 109 has a Fox 46 in in it. It will really move out with that engine. Good luck with the plane.

I had my maiden on sat.two clicks of down and all was well. My hands were shaking for the first 5 min. of the flight, there's nothing like a maiden flight to get the adrenalin going. One thing for sure is I found my fix for my need for speed, this thing rocks. I need to find some one who can clock it for speed it must be around 100mph.
