Yeah, I do agree that they need to include the shipping cost. When I ordered 5 sheets of ply from them, they gave me a total and a this (?????????) for the shipping cost... How hard is it to figure shipping cost in the 48 states, (minus Hawaii and Alaska), if it's below a certain amount or over sized. Anyways, to get back to my point, I got my package today and reviewed the billing statement and it almost cost me more to ship that it did to buy the wood. The total for the wood was $12.00 even and the shipping cost was $7.95 I had to go back and adjust my check book after that. I will definetly shop for Balsa USA brand at another store.

Believe you me, the best way for you to get the kit is to go to US OR to have a friend having it back for you. Most of the shops will declare the kit for its full value, be sure to pay about 30% custom extra taxes charge in France. This is without the shipping cost. Btw, what kit are you looking for ?

What did you expect to pay for shipping? Anything you ship light costs between $5 and $10 in shipping. I would expect the balsa to cost between $6 and $7 for mulitple sheets. If you don't order a lot, you get eaten in shipping. Thats why I stock a ton of it in my shop. Buy $100 worth at a time so the shipping isn't such a big impact on the price. Still beats the hobby shop prices!

I would tend to agree but none of my friends go there .
30% is not a rule, but a trend... It depends on wind direction ... Sometimes yes, sometimes not....
Declaring the kit to its full value is not friendly.... usually done, though. Reducing value 20% at least would not cause any harm to anybody, but would reduce French state income, marginally...
I am looking for Nortstar, Force One and maybe Enforcer....
MMMhh, this is questionable, don't like my country that much... Things are gettin' worse here... [:'(][:@]

Hi all !

I'm very happy today [sm=sunsmiley.gif], as I have just received my three Balsa Usa kits : Northstar, Force One and Enforcer !!!
As these kits are unavailable in France and probably VERY hard to find in Europe, this is a real achievement ...
I must say a big 'thank you' to [sm=kiss.gif]Scottydog1 from [sm=kiss.gif]Frog Hollow RC with whom I got a nice deal.
A serious guy [sm=thumbup.gif] I will deal with again.
For now, I am about to head to my workshop and to open these three niiiice kits. Long life to builder's kits .
