The installation on the plans shows the muffler of the O.S. FS-120 coming out the lower half of the left-hand side of the cowl. You can see the structure in dotted lines behind the muffler.

hello bob
thanks for your reply, i am useing an os 90 surppass 1 and the only way, to get it come out as per plans is buy an acessery that will have the bend, to the muffler to get the right position, which im not inclined to do.i will get it in the best position i can and go with that.
thanks for your time

Leonard;
The .91 Surpass may be a bit small for this size SE5a. That's what I'm using on my Funaero SE5a and it is just right for that size (1/6 scale). The Dynaflite kit is a larger model, designed around a 120 Surpass. I bought a 90 degree manifold for my .91 and have it mounted upright, with the thrust in the top position.

Sorry. That should read thrust in the lower position. There are two versions - a high thrust line and a lower one. The Finaero .60 size is the latter.

tom
thanks for your input, i been reading where fellows have been flying the se-5a model with 90 4 strokes. i have one, and thats why im useing it, i need a 90 degree manifold to get the muffler to come out the bottom. but i dont want to invest in one so it will come out the side. which wont be too bad----its only fun scale---thanks again
