He was surprised to find out where I lived. He said he knew there was an interest in the cores from the note you sent him but he didn't think about us being spread out all over the country. I said, "Thank G-d for the internet"
I also emailed him this thread URL, just in case he wanted to see it.

cores ordered
Hello Jerry,
I ordered the cores on Thursday afternoon. Sounded like he was going to cut our cores at one time, and ship them out. When they arrive, we can start up on our progress, questions, ideas, tips!!!
Take care,
Kerry

Its made by ace and has a foam wing and build up fuse and powered by... well.. ehem.. two .060 teebees (designed for non-throttled)
when i build it (later this winter) I am going to make it throttled and use micro servos to save weight (designed for standard size) one of the guys at the field had one and said it flys great so It should be a fun little plane

Shrike available
As much as I dig the Shrike Commander, I've just stepped into my dream airplane, a BIG A-10 project. As such, I've got to thin out the shelves a bit. I have a Bridi Shrike on the shelf that I don't think I'll get to anytime soon. Needs work.
To keep from turning this into a for sale add in the wrong forum, please e-mail me for details on this plane if you are interested. I've posted some of the details of this plane earlier on the thread. Has retracts too.

Great Planes Rockwell Shrike!!!!!
My cores arrived today.
I have started a model building club at the local school so I don't have much time as I'd like on MY projects. However, I may just cart my Shrike over to the class and show them composite construction techniques.
If anybody starts theirs, let me know and post pictures.

A/Commander 140" twin BME 50's
Hi guys, been reading your posts and figured it was time to show you my current project. Customer contacted me and had to have a Shrike so I went looking. I'm about 30 days into her and just love the way she looks.
I won't mention the mfg. because the kit is at best a nice glass fuse... the rest including the foam work and SOFT balsa is in the trash. How can anybody design a 140" twin with soft balsa (bottom only) spars. We heard they have come apart in the air so we went back to the drawing table.
Bob at FlyingFoam.com has been GREAT in redesigning real wings that will work.
Power is twin BME 50's and paint will be a copy of Bob's yellow and black Rockwell P-51.
I'll have pics posted on my "Projects" page within a week or so, but heres a look.
Good luck with you projects...
