Default Ultra Sport 40+

I am currently building an GP Ultra Sport 40 plus with mechanical retracts, and an OS 70 Surpass 4 stroke. I was wondering how this plane might balance. I was thinking of putting in a 4.8V 1200maH battery pack in the aft hatch area. I don't want to have to add too much weight to the front or the back, so I would like to get a battery that I can get the CG right. Anyone have any experience with the setup I have on this plane?

I had a YS 63 on mine and had to add to the nose so put it as far forward as you can, I too had the retracts and it looked so good on a fly-by.

Was that with the battery installed in theaft compartment. I would have thought this setup would be pretty tail heavy.

I have been flying one for years. If you balance per the plans, it will fly like a dream. Definitly do not want it tail heavy! I had Rom Air retracts in it and an OS .46. It truly is one of my favorites.
