Default first kit done!!!!

I finally finished my first kit (goldberg cub). After a month and a half, and many glued fingers i have a finished plane. I would recomend this kit to anyone for a first build. The weather was beautiful on friday so I decided to maiden it, it flew like a dream.

And your wing is too long (I like clipped wing cubs)

Other than that - Beautiful!!!

[sm=thumbup.gif]Great Job!!! Looks beautiful. Wish I still had mine.[sm=crying.gif]

When you get the time, build the short wing. I would take both wings to the field and when the wind came up I would put on the clipped wing. Handled the wind well--would land vertically in a 15 knot headwind.

Thanks for the compliments guys! Now I wish I had built the clipped wing, rolls are very slow and its about impossible to get it to come down for landing. I plan on getting another wing set to build as the clipped wing (for flying off of land), and save the full wing to use with the floats i'm in the process of building.

P.S. And to GrnBrt I couldn't agree more on needing a pilot, it'll be in there as soon as Fed Ex drops it off.

The clipped wing works just as well for floats. If you want to save a little time and money, you can easily clip the existing wing by just cutting two rib bays out:

Power lines on one side, and trees on the other [X(] You've got guts to fly there.
