Default TF Mustang Kit problem

Im building the TF Mustang kit and I noticed that the Center Leading Edge (CLE) of the wing is glued on upsidedown. In the picture, the pointier side is suposed to face down. Anyone here built this bird yet? Does this lil boo boo matter? Well if I must take it off and reglue, how would I do it. Thanks in advance

You'll probably have to pop it off and put it on the right way. Otherwise it won't match up with the bottom of the fuselage and my interfere with getting the wing proper seated in the wing saddle.

Cheers,

Make a pattern out of scrap balsa and lay it next to the LE in the correct position, add and remove 1/4" balsa to obtain the correct shape. Dont worry about trying to cut the existing one off.

If you glued it on with CA, you can get a jar of CA disolver and carefully apply it to your glue joints and it will pop them loose. If you have used epoxy, you can heat up an exacto blade and carefully slice the glue joint's a little at a time. It work's, but can be time consuming. Good Luck, Dave

Use a heat gun to release Epoxy, acetone to release CA.

You could, but that nail polish remover usually has additives to make it smell good. Those additives can stay behind, compromising the new glue joint. Go to the local hardware store and get a can of real acetone. You will use it for other things too.

Hey Gang I might have problem, I'm assembling my H9 mustang 60 size and i just noticed the tail orientation is off by about 1/2 deg to the right is this normal???? Or do I start sanding??? Vertical orientation is good exactly 90 deg off elevator . But horizontal is roughly 1/2 deg off perpendicular with respect to the fuse. This will be my third post about this kit , and I want to thank everybody for their help and advice ....... Pat D aka CRASHMISTER

1/2 of a degree??? Did you measure it on an optical comparator? Forget about it, you will never notice it.
