Default Power for a Great Planes RV-4

Hello Folks. I'm interested in what different folks would use for power in a Great Planes RV-4.
The plane needs to be snappy and responsive, but by no means is it a 3D kind of plane.

Hello

The question is a little ambiguous because the decision to go 4 or 2 stroke with this Airplane won’t really depend on power figures between the engines…

I think a 4 stroke would be cool because it would be more realistic in what is a pretty scale type of Airplane.

But I can’t afford one for mine so I’m going for a SuperTigre GS-45 ABC… From the RV-4’s I have seen this will be Bags of power…

It’s a small Airplane, smaller than my .40 Trainer.

I’ve been told if you over power them you ruin the flying characteristics.

Just found an original Italian engine on eBay for mine… Sooooo Happy…

Depends how much glue used? I sometime think I may have used too much. this was my first kit and if one dab is good two would be better??? I know better now but does that mean I should increase the motor size to compensate the extra weight?
I plan to use OS46AX for now may want to change it later.

I use an OS .46FX. Not unlimited vertical but the performance is spirited. IMHO this plane was made for that engine.

I second that. mine flies perfectly with the 46fx and a 10x7. Besides I doubt a bigger engine will fit so well in the cowel.

Well thats what is going in mine OS .46AX instead of fx as I have the FX in another plane I have not fly mine yet how does this plane take off and land? I did install the flaps but have no intension of using them for sometime when I get comfortable with the plane. I have not seen any video or reviews on RV 4
I there is can someone point to the links, I love those RC videos. I plan taking some this summer.
