Default extending control linkage

I am building a TF p47 and am trying to center my ailerons on the servo but much to my chagrin my control rods are too short. I have unscrewed the clevises as far out as I dare and the inner controls are made up of 2 rods connected to the servo with a coupler and ball link. I could try to lengthen the inner rods by unscrewing them from the coupler in the center but am afraid that I might snap open a clevis on the other side of the rod which is currently under a sheet of balsa and .75 glass and about 6 coats of brushing laquer.
i am hoping there i an easy way to either extend the rod itself or find longer clevises. Any ideas?

Find a solder coupler that you can solder on the existing rods. Should give you about another 1/2 to 3/4 of and inch.

If I understand your problem correctly, Tim has the right idea.
