Default Looking for Best Way to Attaching Struts

I have a GP piper cub and want to use the struts but attaching them with screws can be a pain in the butt and time consuming! Looking for the best way to attach them. Looking for pics too! Thanks trottle

Are they functional? If so, you're kind of stuck with screws. If not, I've seen some use nylon cleavis's. That would enable them to break away. Maybe an advantage, maybe not.

The way I do it is to mount the struts to the wing with Nylon Hinges. Then you only need to remove the two screws at the fuse, and the struts will fold flat against the wing.

You can build some folding struts, they look very nice and are functional. You can get the tutorial and build list from Cubman's website. Here is the link[link]http://www.geocities.com/cubmanky/main.html[/link]
I have a set on my Sig 1/4 scale and they are nice.
Later!!

I have attached struts using landing gear straps that are epoxied into each end of the strut and then, using socket head screws, fasten them into the wing via a 1/4" or so piece of nyrod that is glued into the hard point. The other method, uses a small piece of brass, filed to the shape of a gear strap and use the method described above.
