Default Experienced MK kit builder...I need your adice

Just to let you guys know that I'm not a very good builder yet. I first started with an MK Skystar kit but when I got to the part in aligning and installing the wing with dowels and wing screw holder I had a builder finish that difficult job. Now I'm working on a MK Alliance and again I'm at the stage of aligning the wing and the horizontal stab but this time time I'm determined to finish the job but I lack the experience of installing the wing and the stab. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

1. Which one goes first the wing or the stabs?
2. As for the wing which do you install first, the screw wing holder or the dowels?

it's been my experience to attach the horizontal stab first and align the wing to it. as for the dowels, i would attach the dowels first and then wing hold down screws with the wing in position (dowels in place).

PMR
I applaud your determination.

If I were you, I'd see if the "builder" that you employed to
finish the difficult portion of your last plane, would SHOW you
how to do it on your current project.

Some times , action is better than words. This is perhaps one of those
times. I'm sure you can find a builder somewhere that will show you
if you ask for help

It is best to mount the wing first. Then if the wing and stab are not in alignment (looking at it from the rear of the plane), it is far easier to sand one side of the stab saddle than the wing saddle. Center the wing in the fuselage, and install the dowels in the leading edge, then "triangulate" the wing by measuring with a string from the rear fuselage center to each wing tip, and when the distance is equal on each side, drill the trailing edge bolt holes and screw the wing down. Now you can proceed to the stab installation.

Hope this will help you.
