Finally flew my Ultimate Pitts
Well finally ran out of excuses and flew my Lanier Ultimate Pitts today. All the fears I had about it never surfaced. It flew very smooth and predictable. The Roto 35 had plenty of power to pull it around. I was very concerned about the weight, on take off it was in the air in about 30'. The landings were very smooth and slow. I do need to add a bit more right thrust though, it took a little rudder trim to keep it tracking straight. Over all I was very pleased and excited, this is my first gasser.

Congrats on the first flight!
I was wondering if you had flown it yet.
I'll have to drop by the field and check it out...
Of course, I'll have to bring my Skybolt. Can't leave home without it.

Earlier something occured to me, I broke the cardinal rule of kit building. I flew the plane before taking some completed pictures, geez I hope I didn't anger the RC gods.
