I'm kinda cramped for space with so many 1/5 and 1/4 scale planes. As a friend once said: "big planes fly, little planes flit". I want sump'n I can put in my Tahoe without taking the wings off. That's what I like about my Funaero SE5a.

RE: Since this is about kit building, what are you building?
I am suffering from adult onset ADD. I have been just getting back into RC after a very long absence. I built a CG ultimate and while covering it, it ocurred to me that I should see if I could still fly. I built a spad trainer and found that it is a good thing that it is very durable. LOL. After deciding that the ultimate was not going to leave the ground for a while, I decided I would have more time to fly if I flew off water so I built a Republic Seabee from RCM plans. It turned out so nice, I decided it wasn't a trainer in any way shape or form so I am about to cover a BUSA Laker. Wish me luck. My room is getting full of planes I'm chicken to fly.

I am like most other builders I think, at this time I have on the go;
Scorpio 60 pattern ship, wings finished fuse about 30%
GP 33% Extra covered and just finishing off the radio installation (fitted with G74 twin, and hitech 5925 servos all round with powerbox system)
Bolly Super Chipmunk (just love Chipmunks) wings 50% only
2 Student trainers for the kids, both wings 80% and fuselage 80%
JMP F 4 Phantom about 60% complete although have got rid of the ducted fans and will be fitting turbines.
Kyosho Libelle 2700 glider (rebuild after destroying the first!)
Ventus C 1/4 scale glider (next cab of the rank)
45 sized F4 Coursair (lousy kit, nothing fitted) wings 70% and Fuse 60% put to one side in disgust!
Fireball 60 sized pattern ship trainer, wings 70% and Fuse 70%
Kalt space baron heli (32 sized) about 90% complete
Just finished rebuilding a Byron Originals 33% Pitts Special with an OS 240 Twin, built (ARF) CM Pro Extra 300S with a YS 110 and keeping in the air
Stinson Reliant 102!QUOT! with an OS 240 twin
Slingshot 60 pattern ship
Ugly Stick 46 size
Classic Trainer
FVK Boomerang electric pylon racer
Wattage Crazy 8
MD Spitfire 2m Wing Span with a Sachs 52 petrol
Kalt Baron 50 heli

Hey Tom Johnston,
Build Top Flite 100.5" wingsoan Stinson Reliant, SR-9. But you'll have to take the wings off to transpot.

I'm working on a Bruce Tharpe Flyin' King. I have an O.S. .91 Surpass II on the way. At 80" wingspan, this is the 2nd largest kit I've ever built. The first was an Airtronics Olympic II 100" glider way back. Bruce makes some of the nicest quality kits I've ever seen or had the pleasure to build. Everything fits perfectly. I have used the least amount of curse words during this project than any other. [

thomer--
I agree the Flyn' King is great kit and fun to build. In your photo it appears that you have a FOremost Miter Saw. Bruce recommended it and I can not imagine building the kit without it. It makes perfect cuts. When I got done building both sides of the fuselage they matched perfect. I could not of done it without the saw. I also used an OS .91 Surpass II and found it to be perfect for this lazy airplane and I was able to balance by moving just the receiver battery. It is a fun plane to fly and I love playing with the flaps. It is a very easy plane to fly and you dont have to worry about the plane getting ahead of you. I made mine a taildragger with 6" mains (foam).
Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

I have several projects going. I'm almost done with a Hots, I'm waiting for some dope to come in so I can finnish a TF P-39 I've been building for the past two years. And I'm planning on refinishing a TH Fun 51 with silkspan.

It's not a kit, but I'm working on a Four Star 60 ARF. I have a kit that I will start as soon as the Four Star is done.
It's a Great Planes Corsair 40. They say it's a "sport plane that looks like a Corsair," which hopefully means it will not tip stall or do other nasty things.

I'm working on a scratch built pusher prop designed completely in Solidworks 3D CAD. The fuse and booms will be made of fiberglass (figure 3 is the plug skeleton). The balsa/ply wing components are laser cut for accuracy. I call it the Modkat. Once flight testing is done, it will be available to the public. The pricing should hover around $200-275.

Mark, (mimhoff)
Yes, that is a Foremost Miter Cut, and I just bought their Miter Saw. I would recommend these to any kit builder making any kit. It saves tons of time, very precise, and wood fits perfectly together.
I'm also making my FK a tail dragger as I find them much easier to land. I'm getting anxious to finish this beast and putt-putt around the big blue skies!

Well I've been talking about posting some pictures of the TF Piper Arrow that I have been building for almost a year. Not many but here are a few. I took a few months of while trying to break into nitro and learn to fly my tower trainer.

I just maidened my BUSA Bristol Monoplane from an older kit. A very sweet flying plane balanced with an Irvine Q72. The stall turns are particularly nice. I seem to be on a BUSA kick right now as I am building a Nieuport 17. Even allowing for the fact that it is a large biplane it has so far been a very straightforward build. I've also got a Proctor N28 waiting for me to finish painting an rigging the wings. I've finished a 1/12 ME 109 from the MAN pullout plan but haven't flown it yet.

One hears people carping about "Where have all the builders gone?". It looks like they are right here, building a wide variety of planes. There are a lot of builders on the 1/2A threads as well.

Currently starting a Tiger 2 kit bash - TD conversion, side mounted engine with balsa cowl, swept & clipped wing, and on and on...
Up next - Mojo 40 profile ff ( http://www.swanyshouse.com/ )
after that - Eyeball pattern plane ( http://www.eurekaaircraft.com/ )
after that, I'm not sure - too many to choose from... We'll see if spring is here before I finish the above stuff.
