Venture 60 is born
Here she is guys. Just to tell you how slow I am, this V60 is circa the 2003 run!!!! In my defense, I've put together a few planes in between that time.
Vitals:
O.S.61fx
Tru-turn spinner
balsa cowl
dual aileron servos (hitech gear)
rear mounted servos
removed 1 rib from each wing
Don't have an AUW yet. I've got a couple finishing touches left and should get a maiden in this weekend, should have some video too.
My thanks to you guys on this forum for your help, you're the best....and for Damifino's inspiration.
Thanks to Bruce Tharpe for a well designed ship. If only all kits went together this easy. Enjoy.

Your ship looks great! I'm sure she'll fly as good as she looks. I just hope that is not your landing strip! Certainly would not be condusive for a Shrike (LOL).
Let us know how your maiden goes and congratulations to another kit builder who can take pride in their workmanship. I know flying is a sport and building is a hobby, but it is really to bad that more people don't enjoy the hobby part of it and only the sport!
Kind regards.

Man that's a beautiful bird. The lines and finish look great. Reminds me of an air racer. The delayed build appears to have paid off! Good luck with the maiden.

Looks great!
I notice you are using a pitts type muffler. Think I will go that route myself when I finally get around to building mine. I've only had mine for several months tho!
Thinking ST .61 ringed.

Thanks for the kind words. Your Venture looks great. I've got about 50 flights on mine so far. Bruce says the Cg range is VERY conservative so I haven'y gotten close to optimum for Aerobatics. Smooth flier. Don't be afraid of getting too slow on approach because she'll just keep on flyin' if you maintain any speed at all. I can land it very slow and gentle now that I've gotten a handle on how it floats. Good luck!

Thanks guys. Didn't get to maiden this weekend, had a little prob with the engine. Hopefully take it up next weekend if the weather holds. I put on a few decals so I'll have to get an updated pic.
