Greetings!

Does anyone have information on bashing a 4-star 60 kit into a bi-plane?

I am thinking I need to try!

Sorry, no info but it sounds like a really cool project!! My first gut instinct would be to chop 3 inches (at least) off each wing tip. Unless of course you are going for something like a lazy Ace type plane. I hope you try it and post some pics and results. I would think it would be a great flying plane.

Excellent : thanks for the pic! What is the forward set of the top wing ( leading edge to leading edge) distance and measurement between wing?

How does it fly? What engine?

Top wing is set 1 1/2 ahead of the bottom wing. Both wings are swept back 3/4 inch per side. Distance between wings is the same as the chord. Engine is 75 Tower 2 stroke, AUW is 11 pounds. She is a bit heavy, but she flies nice. It tends to 'search' at high speed, but lands like a dream.

Not exactly. It is a coroplast copy of the Four-Star, named the Cor-Star. Purple one is the original, then the bipe above, and the second picture here is the twin version. Same dimensions as the Four-Star, identical tail and fuselage, etc. Do a search for 'cor-star' here on RCU and you can read all about it.
