Default Straightening an aileron

Hi guys,

I was wondering what good ways are there to straighten ailerons that are twisted a bit.

Try over- twisting it past the correct position and applying the heat (gun or iron) and holding it till it cools. It should settle in to the correct position. You didn't mention if it were a built-up aileron or strip... It may take a second set of hands to achieve this. It worked for me !
Good Luck,
Ugo

Oh right I meant a stripped aileron.
Maybe there is a way of doing this while softening the area with some water?

My mistake !! I assumed this was an already built plane with MonoKote covering ! I'm gonna assume again that this is a "bare wood" aileron that came with a Kit... If so, Just soak the aileron in warm water and pin or weight it down till dry. Should be OK..Unless the grain is such that it will naturally twist back again. Give it a shot. Don't cost nothin' ! LOL !
