Default Robart or Century Jet?

I'm currently building a Top Flight 1/8 F4U Corsair and wanted to know which Retracts are the best to use for it. Robarts or Century Jets?

I have always used and had good luck with Robarts, my Air Retract of choice for the Top Flite War Birds. Good Luck.

Well, I'm trying to order a sierra restract set for my 1/8 TF Corsair but they don't seem to have a orderform or whatever available on their site? Do you have to place an order by phone?

cheers,

Tjen

I tried for months to get Robart retracts for my He 219. All I got was excuses and parts that did not match and found I needed a machine shop to assemble them. Never did get the struts. Century Jet produced them in a week. These were for a "proof" model of my design. I recommend Bruce Sanders at Century Jet for all retracts.

You may also want to consider Spring Air. In the event of an air pressure loss they fail open (down )

I second the Sierra. Just phone them to place an order. Next in line would be Robart.

I have several sets of CJM gear. Without exception, every one of them has significant wear, and are "wobbly". All were purchased from buy-outs or in models I purchased. I only have one experience with CJM customer service, and that is why I have not bothered to ever service any of the gear I have. I make my own repair parts now.[:@] CJM customer service gets a [sm=thumbs_down.gif]
