Default Top-FLite AT-6 Texan

I am building a Top-Flite AT-6 Texan and I have a question about the elevator attachment.

The plans call for using a torque rod to connect the two elevator halfs and using a clevis that ends up hidden in the fuse to control it.

This kind of bugs me. Here are my thoughts: I want to use two pushrods exiting the fuse connected to normal control horns on the elevator halfs. This way I can adjust each elevator and everything is accessable. I am not worried to much about scale, the rubber, flaps and ailerons all use control horns.

Any comments?

The split pushrods are always preferable; just not as scale an appearance.

Hi!
I would go with the hidden pushrod,inside the fuselage!
This is easy to adjust at the servo! Not visible at the rear as a split system is. Strong, as you have a straight pushrod ( use hardwood or Carbon tube).
It is also lighter!
