SIG Hog Bipe Building
Hello all,
I have ordered the Hog Bipe which I am expecting to receive by the end of this week.
I am very excited about it as this will be my first bi-plane.
I hope that everything will be OK with the construction and have it flying soon.
I have seen many good reports about this plane and can't wait to find out myself how good it is.
Many photos of the construction will come next.
Suggestions or comments are welcomed.

Great flying plane and a nice build. Just follow the instructions and look at the plans and you'll have no problem at all. Here's mine with a Saito 100.

Great kit, great plane...
I've built one last winter. If I remember right, some small things to consider before you start:
1) It looks much better with a cowl up front (the only weakness of the kit), you can get one "fiber" for the bipe or if I remember corectly I found a "plastic" cowl for a Cub that fits prfectly
2) The shape of the tail is ... well some prefer to change the shape of rudder & stab, I did... (look up the threads, you'll find!)
3) Some have issue with the landing gear location when flying of grass (believe shifting 1/2 inch front does the trick) again check the threads
Oh, and in mine the "upgrade" package for the aileron servo install had a badly "misshaped" hardwood railings for the hatch, so I made a lite ply plate

Thanks VASEK,
I am planining to do all the modifications you have stated in your e-mail.
I will use a SAITO 82 fa GK . Using this engine which looks great I think that I wont need a cowl.
WCB Thanks for the pic it looks nice Hope mine will look the same too in the end.
Thanos.

Great Bipe - Good luck!
Great Bipe - Good luck!
Just a question.. I hear you talk about your Ultra Sport... But I hardly ever hear you discuss the Hog Bipe...
Just to be fair.. RCKen loves his Hog Bipe(s).. but he does talk about his UltraSports... So..
Do you even own a hog bipe??
Time to fess up.. Let's see it..
