Build up my courage!
I'm in the process of building an Ohio R/C 84" Extra 300. This is an older kit and the elevators are small in comparison with newer kits. The stab and elevators are built, but instead of hinging them, I've decided to glue them together and cut a bigger elevator that will include counterbalances.
Here's the plan... Now I just need someone to tell me to go ahead and DO IT!

Now get over there and show that elevator who the @#%^**^(#!$# boss is, what are you a man or a mouse???? Stand tall and strong!!!!!

I have the 72 inch version of the Ohio R/C Extra that I just bought from a fellow club member. I was wondering the same thing about the elevator. Let me know what you decide if you don't mind.
Thanks,
scott.

Okay, after that pep talk from Seargeant Ermey, I guess I don't need to say much.
Looks like everything is sheeted so they'll be plenty strong enough. Do it!
I recut and reshaped the elevator/rudder on 2 out of the last three planes I put together. It's just plain fun.

My Goldberg 300 elevator and rudder has been enlarged the same, improves the handling, especially 3D,its only a bit more wood,so have fun. Sooner it's done and finished the sooner it will be in the air.
