which kit to use with a OS LA 15
hi,
i have a LA 15 and i want a kit that will allow me to do high speed flying, basically a kit that is easy to build and not designed for 3d more for speed,
i will do the rest of the flying with my pitts but need someting to play with and do some formation flying
any suggestions?
thanks!!

I second the shrike - I have the higer performance .15 CV-A in mine and it's quick, but the LA should be fine in it, quick and nimble - make sure you find a build thread on it though - the main spars can stand a little reinforcing.

If you want something not often seen at the field, you might check Ebay for an Aspect Aviation Hyper Bee. I fly one of these with an OS .15FP and it really scoots along. I would post a picture of mine but I'm not at home this week so cant access my puter. Dont seem to have a picture of it on either my website or "My models". Will post a pic of it when I get home this weekend.

I think you asked me this before and I still dont remember what tank I used. I have to replace the 270mAh battery in the plane so will check on the tank while I have the hatch off. I tend to use Sullivan tanks whenever I can so my guess would be a 2oz Sullivan slant tank but I wouldnt bet the farm on that. I prefer the tanks that either have a chin like some of the great planes tanks or the slant face like Sullivan has. Big fear of pinching the fuel lines with a straight tank.
I am at my Step Daughter's abode in Houston this week but fly home tomorrow and might be able to check on the tank this sunday. I am pretty much bored to tears right now. I only wish I could have packed my Slow Stick and put floats on it for the trip. They have a man-made lake at the back of the house with their own dock and it just begs to be flown off of. Gotta return for her wedding this coming June so I will definitely come up with something between now and then, you betcha! Maybe a hard rifle case?
