Default Midwest Giles 202 C.G

Ive recently bought a 1/4 scale Midwest Giles 202 from a fellow club member that built it from a kit about 6 to 7 years ago he says and I installed a O.S 1.08 engine on it. My friend was flying it with a Webra 120. My friend lost the manual since he built the plane and doesnt remember the CG for this plane. I contacted Midwest and they said that it was 5 7/8" back from the LE. I put the plane on my GP CG machine and it came in tail heavy at 5 7/8" back from the LE as Midwest suggested. According to specs. the Webra is right at 2 ounces lighter than the OS 1.08. I knew that when I put the OS on the plane that it would come in nose heavy but according to Midwest CG its wayyyyyy to tail heavy. Need Help!! Does anyone know what the CG is for this plane. A kit built 1/4 scale Midwest Giles 202.
Thanks
Don

I just went downstairs and looked at the plans. Measuring from the LE too the CG is right at 5 7/8" to the center of the CG point.

Flipped through the manual. It says 5 7/8" back from the LE and measured at the point where the wing meets the fuselage.

Balance it upside down. No fuel--I'm sure you know that.

How much lead does it take to make it balance?

As I was reading your reply it hit me I think.......... what my problem was today. DUUUU........I was alone today and no help and had just checked a Ultra Stick 60 right side up and I dont know if youve ever tried using the Great Plains CG machine or not but its a BEAR by yourself. Then I tried........already frustrated and in a hurry because it was about 5:00 and I hadnt finished my Honey-do list and checked the Giles right side up, not on its back. See I had just checked it with my sons about a month ago and thought that I had it just right but thought I might fly tomorrow and thought Id recheck it just to make sure an found it today to tail heavy and scratched my head even more frustrated. LOL. Ill check it tomorrow on its back........if I can remember where I left the plane!!!!!!!. To much to do and not enough flying time makes a mans mine go bad. And somehow they just dont understand that. LOL
Thanks So Much
