I'm thinking it will I have 3 of these engines a 40,48,and anew 68 they are an awesome power plant.I have had no problems with any of them, just break them in right and they run just fine.I am looking around for a kit for the 68 so it will have a home.

Yes, plenty of grunt to get airborn, once in the air it will fly it on 1/2 throttle. What you want to do
though get that engine reliable before trying float flying. MDS quality seemed hit or miss- I have seen
some great runners with awesome idle and transition, and others that would never run consistantly.

I had a 48, 58, & 68 at one time. I didn't have any trouble with mine.

These engines do tend to unload more than most engines in the air so set them just a little richer on the ground.

Enjoy,

Jim
