Hello and suggestions for 4* 60
Hello all,
I'm new to RC Universe and this sport. I have built my first kit which is a Goldberg Eagle 2 powered by a OS 46 FX. Which has yet to be flown due to me completeing it in November and the weather has not cooperated. I had so much fun building my first kit that I couldn't wait to start another one even though I didn't even fly yet (I can only see it being more fun). My second plane is the 4*60, I was told and seeing numerous posts that this would be a good choice. I would like to get into the 300 Extra then a P-47 thunderbolt. I was thinking this might be a good time to try a 4 stroke. I originally was getting a OS 60 FX for it then was going to go a little larger to the .91 for the extra power (I'd rather have it over powered) I understand (correct me if I'm wrong) that the 2 stroke has more HP and rpms, and the 4 stroke has lower rpms but more torque and could swing a bigger prop and take a bigger bite out of the air. In comparision to both engines the OS .91 FX and a Saito .91 or 1.00 ( I understand the 1.00 is about the same size. Would they both have unlimited vertical climb, what could propell the plane at a higher speed, and could they hang the plane from the prop and climb out vertically. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time.
Happy Holidays,
Pat
