Doing a "refinish" on a Midwest T-6 Texan in the New Mexico National Gaurd scheme from around '46 or '47. Will be powered with and A&M 2.0 gasser. Fuse is about done. Now onto the wing.

CG Super Chipmunk - just started over on the whole thing. The parts fit like crap so I called Goldberg and they sent me a new wing panel and an entire tail section. Almost finished with the tail though.
Getting ready to order the wood for a Hostetler Extra 300XS 27%. This one has me excited!

Just getting ready to cover a Giant Aeromaster that's been 'under construction' for about 5 years now.... something about moving from Florida to Illinois that kinda slowed down the process..... This one is getting Silk and Brodak dope, something I haven't done in years!
G62 up front, so it ought to be fun!
Gumhead, is that a 90 or 100 Saito on the nose of that Hog? I've got the 100 GK in mine, just about hovers the thing!
Next up... a Vintage 1978 giant scale Skybolt from the Bob Dively kit! (yeah, I got a thing for Bipes!)

deBolt Livewire Champion from Bob Holman plans. Going with a PAW .19 diesel. Thought it was time to see what our predecessors had to deal with 50 years ago!

Just finishing up a Sig 4-Star 60. Clipped the wings, inverted Saito .72, on-board glow. Here's some pictures. I am just finishing up the custom cowl, hopefully she will be ready to maiden this coming week. Once I get this one off the bench, next I am working on a Ki-15 Babs built from slightly enlarged RCM plans.

I am just about to finish up an E*Star Pilatus PC 6 Turbo Porter. It has a 47 1/4" wingspan, about 1/13 scale. It is sold as an electric but I've converted it to glow, I like the noise and the smell. It will be ready by Labor Day I hope. Anything, Anywhere, Anytime!

Right now I've got the Great Planes 40 sized F4U that I started a few days ago. I'll be taking the radio and TT.46pro out of my LT-40 for it. I want to add oil coolers and machine guns too it. I'm also thinking about rounding out the fuselage sides and doing it as a F4U-5N nightfighter with the radar dome to have a corsair thats a little different from the rest.

Right now I'm working on a Greatplanes F4U CORSAIR (first kit in over 25 years)! I find it a little slow going, but it beats professional therapy! I plan on covering with flat Monokote, but have never used the stuff. I have covered with the glossy stuff. I plan on powering with a Tower .46 if I can ever get the thing running reliably. Any comments or suggestions?

RE: Whats on your building board right now.
Hog Bipe which had to be taken off of the table this morning to do some maintenance on the Super Sportster 60.
The servo rails cracked so they had to be replaced, went ahead and manufactured a servo mounting tray out of aircraft ply as part of that repair. Since it made it into the house I decided to do a few more cosmetic things to it that I have been putting off. Resized the windshield, gave the pilot some luggage behind his seat, and changed channels. Just waiting for glue to dry now so it can be put back together.
I need to do some repairs on a Slow Poke Sport 40 too so I will flip a coin to see if the Hog Bipe goes back on the table.

RE: Whats on your building board right now.
I am building the Top Flite Piper Arrow. First kit in 26 years. Seems like I forgot everything about building. Just about 85% complete on the build and then the covering. Hope to post pictures soon. Still looking to find a bonanza to build if reasonably priced. Does anyone know who has one for sale?

Sig Somethin' Extra. Have a build thread going in this forum for it. First airplane kit in about 3 years or so, and only the 6th airplane I've built. Already thinking about what I want to build next.

I have built a number of smaller kits, and am just about to start a giant scale chipmunk, I have noticed a couple of people with larger planes like yours that are primed grey with something. Can you tell me what you are doing, why it is primed and how that effects the build and performance of the plane.
thanks,
manks

Great plane, but the two servos are much better.

RE: Whats on your building board right now.
I'm just finishing up my RCV 90SP powered Top Flite Spitfire MK IX. The plane has a fiberglass finish and painted with latex with a waterbased polyurethane clearcoat. Unique features are an APC 15.5" x 12 4 blade flying prop and an electric ducted fan cooling system. Final weight, 10 lbs, 10 oz. If all goes as planned, I will maiden it on Sept. 16.
Next up will be a Top Flite P-51B. I am wanting to do it with a Malcom hood and most likely painted as PE-S of the 328th Fighter Squadron, flown by Lt Francis W Horne. This will be my first attempt at making a plug and pulling a canopy. I may make some further mods to make the outline a little more scale. I am also considering working on more scale hinging and hiding linkages. We shall see.
I plan on doing a build thread.
