RE: Whats on your building board right now.
Right now I am building a Blue Max II designed by Jim Allen Jr. ( Model Aviation Magazine construction project, February 1985) Its an airplane from the early days of the competition fun fly. I got a set of plans from an old friend who was cleaning out his shop to move to Florida.
Kinda looks like a "stick", but has a swept wing. Designed for a .40 two stroke with a target weight of 3 3/4 pounds. I love showing up at my flying field with airplanes that are completely different than what available as an ARF. Plus, showing folks that some airplanes actually were very aerobatic and fun to fly, before the 3-D mentality hit the hobby.

A NE Aerodynamics Twin AIr 45 that's 90% done. And my first attempt at a plans built - an old Graupner Middle Stick heavily modified. Somethin Extra tail feathers, flaps, and a re-engineered wing.
Cutting out all those parts really makes you appreciate a kit, but it's been fun as well.

About to cover a Sig Wonder. It will have HS 85MG servos and a K&B .18. Might add a tuned pipe later. Already thinking about the next project.

Nothing, work has kept me out of the shop all summer...[]
Next up when I get clear of the dreck is a Mojo 40 and then either a Goldberg Extra 300 (with significant mods to cut weight) or an OMP 79" Yak-54. After those, either a 2M pattern ship or a scratch build 40% Cassutt racer.

Just finishing up the GP Easy Sport Kit (see build thread) and a Top Flite Bearcat. - Fuse is done, now I shall start on the wings, or maybe start on my Bridi Big Bee, or my VK Triplane, I could wip out that Hobby Hangar P-47 real quick.
A.D.D, I wish I didn't have...oh cool, a Super Sporter on Ebay.

Got a Dumas Hughes H1 racer rubber band-power kit I'm converting to electric.
GWS micro retracts, HOO! is that thing tiny. 24" wingspan. Fragile balsa. Gotta find the right combination of motor and battery because I could easily set more "oomph" in there than the sticks can support. Right now, just the motor outweighs the airframe by 2 times. Gotta go smaller!
Already did an electric conversion on a Guillow's PT-17 Stearman.
Got a Stryker hop-up in the works.
Rehabilitating a Goldberg Eagle 2 with flaps/crow, on-board camera, and bomb drop.
Finishing a World Models Corsair ARF (I know, doesn't really count).
So many planes, so little time.

RE: Whats on your building board right now.
The Bonanza has been sitting in there for months . I check on it from time to time. But it appears that no work is being completed. I might have to get a little more "hands on" with that project.
Lets see. The T28 came in for a cowl mounting upgrade.
And the Chipmunk had some minor repairs and a major airframe tuning. I finally got the incedence dialed to perfection.
I replaced some 20 years old wall chargers and added new trickle chargers.

Got a Great Planes 60 size Piper J3 Cub, 90" that I'm prepairing the table for now. Probably start on it soon and should have it done maybe by Christmas. I like to take my time and savor the build like a great wine. Guy's good luck and times on your builds. I'll post some pic's as I go along!

RE: Whats on your building board right now.
I have a Sig 1/5th scale Cub under way right now. Still have a lot of decisions to make for my first RC build, have some repair and free flight experience. As of yet, I am undecided on engine, covering material and color scheme. I can't wait to see how it ends up, maybe s an L-4 or an EA1 or as a Civil Air Patrol plane or a regular old yellow Cub. Lots to think about while I sand...

RE: Whats on your building board right now.
I am building (modifying) a Great Planes Slow Poke. The .15 size. I have a great running FS-26 4-stroke that has been begging for new home for quite some time. Ergo, the "Poke". I have changed the wing so the polyhedral is drastically reduced, maintained a constant chord and added ailerons. It's a lot more work than the original design, but for me, building is part of the hobby.
We'll see how it flies, in the meantime, I have several planes in the hangar, the newest being a Great Planes "Cherokee 40" I recently completed.

GP super skybolt......(i'm also savoring the build like a fine wine)
also reworking a staudacher of some sorts.....not sure who made this one. (i got it second hand from a fellow flyer)
then it's on to either a sig smith's miniplane or a BalsaUSA phaeton 90 but i may change my mind and go with a single wing to break the bipe cycle........i've had an eye on a 25% giles 202......can't find the kit so i'll have to plan build it.

Sig Ultimate fun fly. I just finished the top wing, and i'm going to start the bottom wing tomorrow night. Can't wait to finish it. Thinking about a Hog Bipe for my next build. I have a nice, old OS .90 4-stroke that needs a home.

SR Batteries Eindekker 1/4 scale - REEEEEEALY nice kit.
So far done wings, tailplane and rudder, starting fuz. The hardware/accessories are great with this kit - got scale wheels, machine gun, pilot, flying wires and hardware, quality bellcranks, fabric heat-shrink covering, etc. So much nicer than my last ARF where I basically had to replace all the junk hardware, reseal the covering etc etc.
Also have a Skyshark ME109G and a Balsacraft Hurricane kits tucked away somewhere.....
