Show us your Astrohog...........
I saw a beautiful bashjob on a hog and was told they are easily transformed but fly great as the stock kit.... Would love to see what people have done with theirs. If you have an old hog pic sitting around, throw it on and let us see.

RE: Show us your Astrohog...........
This is my brother with his Astro Hog. He was visiting Thayne Wyoming and flew at the club field there.
The plane is covered with iron-on fabric, not sure what kind. He bought the plane, already built, at a swap meet for about $125.

Before I build mine, is the stock gear in the wings satisfactory? I have seen quite a few with fuse mounted gear. I don't care for that look as well but don't want to forward sweep the gear too much.
Any details?

RE: Show us your Astrohog...........
Something I’ve seen suggested is to move the gear blocks a half inch forward of the position noted on the plans. For a little additional strength you could make doublers for the ribs from 1/16 aircraft plywood. My red and white Hog was built per plans. It did nose over once but it wasn’t bad. A “tall grass” landing knocked a gear block loose. I decided to put the gear on the fuselage rather than do surgery on the wing.
