I think you are right that it might fly a bit more precise with less dihedral, but I think it might lose it's old time charm.
So far my Hog has done everything I've asked of it. I think due to it's shear size, it will never be a performer like a smaller trimmer plane.
Hi,

I have not been in this part of the forum for a long time.

I am posting to congratulate you on a very nice Hog and your finish scheme.

Recently I got interested in helicopters and acquired a BLADE 300 X.

I am posting mainly in Heli Beginners and in the Flybarless Helicopters.

Best to you as always,

Zor

OH NO! Astro Hogs are NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ELECTRIC!
LOL I'm just kidding around. I was the kind who went astray and put a 4-stroke up front in mine years ago - OH The shame! .60 2-stroke was the first of the abominations to happen, (the original drawings call for a .35 - imagine that! ) then we got our 4-strokes in there, and all the word came to a screeching halt. Now ELECTRIC???? What are we to do with you guys! Ha HA HA

Hey Zor! Nice to see you again. Helicopters??? Oh Sir, you are slipping. (say's the guy with 2 Quad copters and one micro heli)

Thanks Zor, nice to hear from you again.

Thanks Red Jeepster.
My first Hog was actually my dads, I did get to fly it some when the K&B got so tired that my dad had to hand launch it.
I got to do the climb out and sometimes the first turn before he got his breath back and returned.

Thanks, pd1. I checked out your thread and got some good ideas on building the wing! Your plane is really nice and looks to be very sturdy. NIce color scheme also.

Well, it took a while, but Hog is repaired and flew again yesterday.
needed some serious trimming, and flies well once trimmed. Put 4 flights in, getting 15 minutes on a 6S 5000 mah battery, with 30% left.
No jet like racing around, eights practice, circuits practice, procedure turns etc. lazy enjoyable flying.

As is implied, an excited reaction to a successfully repaired Hog.

Congrats are timely for your success.

A few touch up in the shop will bring the trims near neutral.

Pictures would be appreciated.

Best to you from Zor.
