I added some tri-stock to the inner ribs as well, fore and aft as accdii suggested.

I was not happy with how much the 12oz fuel tank stuck into the cockpit so I swapped it out for the 10oz one. Fortunately the only difference between the Dubro 12oz and 10oz is the length by 1/2 inch. The height and width are the same so it was an easy swap. I think 10oz of fuel with a four stroke 70 running at half throttle will be fine.

Should be better than a Saito 100. I get about 7 minutes and I HAVE to land.

Yup, and if I have an issue I can always put the 12oz back in.

Thanks for all photos. I have always on every build, surrounded the tank with foam rubber. Usually top and bottom. This build, no foam rubber anywhere. Have to slide the tank in like your photo Nauset. Foam rubber, always thinking vibration will cause the fuel to foam. I am going like you, sliding the tank without foam rubber.
Has vibration concerned any of you ? I am using the Saito 90TS twin, single carb.

Only time I used foam around a tank is to keep it in place. Several of my planes have no foam around the tank. In fact my RX dont have foam, I use Velcro to secure them. I do use foam around the batteries though.

I have always used foam around the tanks in my planes but I do have a few that because of the design there is no room for foam. I have not had any issue with the ones without foam. I even see now people mounting receivers without foam which used to be a no-no.
