4*120 with RCS 140-Which prop
I am finally finishing the 4* I got for my birthdaya while back, a long while back. I am powering it with a RCS 140 and am curious what others using this combo found out about propellers. Any help would be appreciated

15 x 12 APC 8800 rpm, 2.95 HP*
11.8 lbs static thrust
16 x 8 APC 8900 rpm, 2.7 HP*
15.6 lbs static thrust
16 x 10 APC 8500 rpm, 2.9 HP*
14.2 lbs static thrust
This would be a good place to start try them all and use what you like best. Almost have mine done too but using a Ryobi 31cc in mine. Did you move your firewall back any? I did 1.75" just to make the engine look good and keep the prop up close to the fuse. I also highly recomend making a hatch for the fuel tank up front I love to be able to get inside there when I need to. Now with just two bolts I can easy see pics.

Sticktickler,
Nice job on the hatch. I like it. I put a much smaller hatch on mine. I also moved the fuel tank back to the CG. I have the elevator servos and the rudder servo in the tail. Previous research on this plane seemed to show that they tend to be tail heavy without the servos in the tail so I did not move the firewall. I also am using a Fiberglass Specialties cowl I adapted to fit.

If you want to save some tail weight then taper down the rudder and elevator see pics below I did the ailerons as well. This also makes the flight surfaces just a little more responsive defiantly worth doing. I really hate the flat wing tips on this plane so I rounded them up I think it looks much better. Well almost ready to cover can’t wait better get at it I’ll post more pics soon.

Stick,
I like your wing tips. I thought about doing something like that but ran out of time. Mine is already covered and I am in the equipment install stage.
