Is this a kit that you know?
Hiya guys I was out yesterday finally got my shrike .10 up in the air for a few minutes tell my fingers about froze off. that little guy flew great. I was amazed how well she ran it was only 20 deg. out, but I couldn't wait. That's not while I a writing I saw a plane at the field I'd never seen before and being flown buy a stranger. I was woundering if anyone had seen anything like this before in a kit or was this somethin' this guy scratch built. I'd never seen this guy before and he had left before I got a chance to ask. Please excuse the drawing it's from memory and probably not exactly righ but you get the idea. I also couldnt tell exactly what engine he was running but it was small like a .10 or .15. and the wing span looked to be about 60" I'm looking for a new kit to build and this thing really cought my eye but I don't know what it is. Any ideas fellas?

Looks like you have most of the plan there already. Add structure, build it, and fly it.
I don't know of any kits like that, but have seen many scratched up versions. Been wanting to do something similar to that for a while now as an aerial photo plane.

Looks like an XP-54 Fighter from WWII that never saw production much less action.
Here's the link to a kit (OK so it's a 1/72 scale plastic scale kit):
http://www.kitreview.com/reviews/swo...reviewrk_1.htm
Go to Google, and type in XP-54 you will get about 50 hits.
Here a link to a free flight balsa model:

Good luck,
Dave
