Default Unionville Hobbies Dash 6

Just trying to gather any information I can on this plane. Has anyone built this kit?
Any tips would be helpful too.
I tried the search and believe it must be a pattern plane but anything else would surely be helpful.

Thanks

I do not have the Dash 6, but I do have a 70% built Unionville Hobby Norseman in my shop. Unionville are very well designed planes, and they are very much "builder" kits. Not a ton of instructions , but good design, and good quality wood.

The Dash 6 is not a pattern plane, it is a Twin Otter, used as a rugged STOL transport, that carries 12 - 20 people. This is a very typical Canadian Regional Aircraft, tough, heavy and very versitile. The Twin Otter is one of the planes that keeps the Canadian North open. Here is some information on the plane if you are interested:

If you want to speak to someone at Unionville they can be contacted at:

Unionville Hobby Supply
10610 Bayview Ave
Richmond Hill ON, L4C 3N8

Phone: 905-640-1534

I have spoken to them a couple of times and found them to be very helpful.
Good luck

manks

It doesn't look anything like that.
I'll post a link to one that was on an auction site though.

Thanks for the reply . I will have to call them to get some history.

Those guys at Unionville were very helpful. They haven't made the kit for 10 years and it was marketed as a trainer.
It was made at the same time as the Club Cricket and one other of which only the Cricket is left.

I found the Unionville guys really good too! I bought a Norseman from another guy, and it was missing the wing plans, one call to Unionville and for $5.00 a new set of plans was in the mail. I will order another Unionville kit any time!
