Default Pete n Poke suggestions

I'm about to begin building my Pete n Poke. Do any of you guys have any suggestions for modifications or just general advice? This is my second Kit after building and rebuilding a 4*40. If you have any pictures post those as well, always looking for new Ideas.. That's the thing I like with Kits.. I think it's fun to go to the field and have your plane stand out.. especially if it's a popular ARF. I'm only a year into RC but it sure has taken hold.

Thanks in advance

Default RE: Pete n Poke suggestions

There are a few posts on the "Pete 'n Poke" that will give tips regarding the build. One of which, IMO is of the utmost importance, and that is to strengthen the wing struts by drilling and inserting toothpicks, small rods, or some other method to add additional strength. Otherwise, at some point the struts may fail and your plane will head to the ground at a rapid rate, sans wing.
