Akrobat build update
A while back in another thread, I mentioned this build and someone wanted kept updated on how it flew... well, it hasn't... yet.
The plane was finished in January but I've been fighting a new (older but never run) YS-120 and have finally thrown the towel in on the trot line weight.
My first impression was to go with a Saito 1.25 but it is a fair bit lighter than the YS and a few ounces nose weight were needed with it. Between the added lead and the onboard glow, the weight issue opens the door for consideration of the Zenoa G20 bringing fuel economy and clean up ease of a gasser. I'm not positive I'll go with the G20 over the Saito 1.25 yet but have one on order that can be used with another project if it seems too much of a cowl hack job will be needed for the Akrobat.
A lesson was learned... test run the intended engine before committing work to fitting it to a plane... I've got some back tracking to do and when finally flying will offer a report.
