Default Decathlon engine question

Got my Decathlon kit in the other day and was wondering about engine size. I want to stay with a 2 stroke nitro engine. Specs call for a 1.08 - 1.8. Will a Sk 110 work, if not any suggestions. Not looking for for fancy flying... just smooth flying. Thanks.

Default RE: Decathlon engine question

I doubt that would be enough engine. Mine flew on a G38 with all up weight of 16.5 pounds dry weight. Going with a glow engine will surely cut down the weight by a pound or more, but even so, that's a lot to ask of your engine. Think 15 pound airplane!
