Default Question about landing gear

I have a glider that I want to turn into a tail dragger. I'm wondering where I should place the main gear at. Do I need to place the gear infront, at or behind the leading edge of the wing? Does the gear need to be on the CG? Having never done a conversion like this I'm a little fuzzy on the placement.

Thanks,
Xrae

Default RE: Question about landing gear

I converted a Sig LT-40 to a tail dragger and it worked out quite well. I aligned the axle center line with the leading edge of the wing.

Thanks I thought that they should be placed on the leading edge of the wing. I just wasn't 100% sure.
