Default looking for wing tube sleeves

Hello all. I am trying to modify a P-38 to have plug-in wings outboard of the booms. It was easy to abtain the CF wing tubes but I'm having trouble finding the sleeves to go with them. Any ideas for a source? Or maybe I can make my own but I have never tried this. Would like to hear from someone who has been down this road before. Thanks.

Well, they ain't got sleeves. You can get any size tube you want (and I did get my tubes from TBM) but no sleeves.

Thank you. This tube does come with a sleeve. It is not carbon fiber and I already have the tubes, but I may have to resort to something like this or make my own.

I'm not sure but you may want to look in the model rocket section of the hobby shop. There may be some sort of tube there.

I've never made a tube, but check out [link=http://www.thefunkworks.com/wing_tubes.htm]Making Wing Tubes[/link]. He give instructions on making tubes for models. I've got a set of plans at home for a F18 I would like to convert to plug in wings if possible.

I rolled my own from 1/32" ply and CA.
Two-three layers thick.
Soaked the ply first, pre formed it, let dry, and rolled with CA.

Thanks for the idea. Never thought of this method.
