Maiden of the CG Extra
CG Extra 68 inch span, 10.5 pounds with A YS 1.40, HT 645 MG servos and Futaba RX and 9-C TX. If A plane could be built to fly any better I haven't seen it. Two beeps of elevator trim, my error, I wasn't centered correctly. I wish all the planes I have built flew this well.
I built it for A friend and he finally had the time to come down and pick it up. I took it up for the maiden with my TX and the grin never left my face. Anything you want it to do it will do it without A flaw.
Second flight I took it up with his TX. He doesn't like expo so it was A real thrill, my TX is set up with -45% and it's much softer. I switch it to low rates and it turned into A sweet little kitten. Handed the TX over to Bud and I never got it back again. Bud spent flight after flight just doing mild stunts and touch and goes, almost never A bounce.
Got it home today and decided the wheel pants were going to be safe so we mounted them and the plane looks A lot better.
This is A very easy build and A great plane when finished. We did go to FGS and get glass wheel pants and the extended glass cowl plus there nice landing gear, well worth the extra money.
If you want A nice build and A good plane I can't say enough good things about the kit Mr. Goldberg made. Photos, Bud with his new toy!!

Congrats on the maiden. Beautiful looking plane - I can't say enough how much I would like to call where you fly my flying field...[sm=tongue_smile.gif]

RE: Maiden of the CG Extra
This is one of two dry lake beds we can fly from, come to think about it there are A bunch of them around here but we mostly use only the two. I have never found A better place to maiden A plane. If you have A dead stick or any problems you can always find A place to land, up wind, down wind makes no difference, it's long and flat in all directions.
We really do have two nice fields close at hand but other then the dirt the dry lakes are fun.
Remember, the TOC was started at Bennett field just down the road A piece. The TOC is no more but the field is still just as nice and in full use. Sometimes too fully!!
