Tiger 60 Push Rods
I am bulding a Tiger 60 and the stock elevator and rudder pushrods are really flimsy. I haven't covered the fuse yet, so I'm wondering if Gold-n-Rods would be better, or are there any other solutions that you've used that worked out well?

RE: Tiger 60 Push Rods
I'm in the process of setting mine up with pull-pull cables on the rudder and a dual gold-n-rod setup on a split elevator. I can't speak to the performance yet, but it is lighter.

Golden Rods work well, provided they're properly supported inside the fuselage. Make balsa supports for the rods to run through about every 3". If you don't have sharp cuves to negotiate, use the blue rods or the wire-in-a-rod type.

RE: Tiger 60 Push Rods
Thanks for the input folks. I didn't want to make supports for the gold-n-rods (formers are 10-11" apart), so I just replaced the 2-56 rod with 4-40 rod and it is much better. I don't want to spend the time making a pull-pull setup either - I want to get this thing done already! Too many other projects are waiting on this one.
It's a little heavier, but I built the tail as light as I could and made the fuel tank tray removable so I can put the battery under it, so hopefully the CG won't be too far off. Gonna run a Magnum 91 FS in it as well.

I guess I'm being too anal then I was concerned because I've had flutter problems with gliders that had flimsy push-rods. This is my first glow plane so I'm being overly cautious - been flying gliders and electric for 12 years, but this glow stuff is "Greek" to me.
