I don't know much about the Tiger but the 4* is a great kit. Somewhere in another thread someone said that all you have to do is throw the glue in the box and shake it, and the plane will build itself. Seriously, it is super-easy to build and it flies great. I put an OS46FX in mine. It will rip the sky at wide open throttle, has an impressive roll rate and it will turn a very tight loop. But it is just as stable as a trainer when slowed down!

I'll second the easiness of the 4*...

I finished mine today after purchasing it 9 days ago.

The Sky Tiger is considerably larger than the 4 Star and would not be very lively with a .40 engine. It is also a bit more involved to build, due to the stick tail surfaces and engine mount arrangement.

Either would make an excellent second model. I've had both, and in fact have a 4 Star ready to cover right now, for my grandson's second plane. The 4 Star is a bit more agile, but that is offset by the Tiger's easier ground handling for those who are intimidated by a tail-dragger.

I guess I would say your choice is dictated by what engine you have. With a good .46, flip a coin. Anything less, go with the 4 Star.

Steve
