Here are some better (larger) pics of the 3 piece wing along with the drawing of the wing ribs. You can see that the slots are cut in the center section and outer section ribs and sub ribs for the outer wing sections. These ribs were cut from light ply. The spars were cut from hard plywood. Hope this helps.

Great Planes has a nice building board for $30.00.It's 18x 48 and 3/4" thick. Mine is about 15 years old and still stright. They also carry samller ones too.

I'm watching this thread with interest too-about to pick up a kit off Tower.
horseshoejack (or anyone)-any reason you got the sig kit instead of balsa usa?
Good luck on the build-I love watching a forest of balsa being transformed into a flying machine!

I like Sig kits and BUSA kits. The cowl in the Sig kit is heavier ABS material instead of the BUSA vacuum formed one. I do not think you would go wrong with either kit. I just got a great price.

I have decided to paint my cub finally, looks like I had this thing built in late 07! Well anyway here is my Koverall/ModgePodge/Latex Paint job. I still have a lot of work to do in spraying a top coat and all of the finishing details to go yet. Should fly in the spring with a DLE 30 if I can find a great deal on one. I had this plane set up for a ST 2500 but just to much oil from the glow fuel for my taste. Still a ways to go yet!

Seems like the photos in the last post have disapeared. So here are the finished photos with the project awaiting the power plant. I have decided on a DLE30cc so when the funds are available I will complete the motor install and paint the cowl.
