Default Elder 40 Engine Mounting

I am getting ready to drill the holes in the firewall for my engine mount. Om mounting an o.s. 56 Surpass on it and the instructions say to drill the holes where the diviots are. I have researched and I wondered how to drill if I want to mount the engine at an angle to prevent fouled glow plugs. I am worried about the needle valve adjuster hitting the "cowl" once its complete. Any help is appriciated THANKS!

Rotate the carb or mod the cowl. As long as you keep the thrust line more or less the same you can tilt the engine. I read a review on the Elder and that's how he mounted his (at an angle).
