You're pretty slick -- trying to fake us out with that Telemaster box in the back ground. Geeesh - ya gotta get up earlier in the afternoon to put one over on us.

That was way funny-I didn't think about the ST in the backround. I was going to build the ST but opted to get the smoothie going. It was not already built, like I mentioned earlier, I thought it was just a box of Balsa. This was a more difficult build than your typical SIG or whatever kits. Basically just Balsa and TRUE Blueprints. It was alot of fun, and most of the parts were purchased at the Auction-Engine, servos (new),ectt.. I'll post pictures as I finish.

Hi French, I just have to jump on this one. I didn't reconize it at all but I keep telling folks, So many airplanes so little-------.
What I wanted to say was about the auctions. I try never to miss any club auction. One club I belonged to had some great ones. One day I picked up A Royal Giant F-4-U with the spun cowl for 10 bucks all new in box, never opened or started. Right after that I got A NIB Midwest 60 size Hots, $10.00. A nice Extra that was started but it was all there with A glass cowl, $10.00.
Next auction I bought what was supposed to be A Sky Bolt kit for $12.00. It looked like it was all there but the next day I was looking at the plans and the top wing wasn't there?? The fuse was way too long?? Gosh, it looked like I just bought myself A CG 68 inch Extra. It was all there too except for the canopy and cowl but FGS came through and I got the nice glass cowl for it and they had the canopy too.
NIB Rosi engines both side and rear exhaust, $50.00!!
If I see A local club auction being held I'm the first one there and helping set up all the stuff!!!!!!! They can't be beat, sometimes nothing but junk but sometimes they really pay off.

Well here it is a "Smoothie" I think the kit was a 1950 vintage control line model morphed in the 70's to R/C. I thought teal and white might be a 50's color that would be good for the plane. Still have to figure out the canopy and how to shape it to fit. Fun build-have NO idea how it will fly.
